    The RBTE conference programme consists of 2 full days of seminars and sessions, delivering thought-provoking and inspiring content across various retail solutions topics, trends and technologies.

    Three conference theatres will cover the latest topics and case studies across Retail Technology, Retail Business and Retail Payments.

    Visitors are able to choose which sessions and modules they want to attend, ensuring everybody can make the most of their time at RBTE and take away valuable insights to share with their business.

    Previous speakers have included pioneers and experts from Asda, Boots, Dixons Carphone, John Lewis, Morrisons, Tesco's, Toys R Us, Vodafone, Waitrose and many more.

    Here's just a small snapshot of some of the ground breaking sessions and inspiring speakers coming this May.

    Speakers include:

    Brian McBride, Chairman of ASOS and Wiggle, Non Executive Director

    Brian McBride is Chairman of ASOS, the leading on-line fashion retailer, and WiggleCRC, the on-line cycling retailer. He is also Senior Non Executive Director at, Senior Adviser to Lazard’s Global Financial Advisory business,  Senior Adviser with Scottish Equity Partners.  He is a member of the UK Government’s Digital Advisory Board, which steers the digital delivery of Government services to citizens.  He was CEO of from 2006 to 2011 having led it through its high growth period. He began his career with Xerox and subsequently worked in Senior roles at IBM, Dell Computers and as Managing Director of T-Mobile (UK).  He has been a Non Executive Director of Celtic Football Club PLC, SThree PLC, and Computacenter PLC and has served as a Non Executive Director on the Board of the BBC and the Advisory Board of Huawei UK.  

    Howard Saunders, Retail Futurist, 22AND5

    Howard has been shaping retail for thirty years. As a former creative director of Fitch responsible for retail design and branding, over the last decade he has focussed his skills on helping his clients better plan for the future. Howard’s current clients include CBRE, Johnson & Johnson, The Consumer Goods Forum, Ebay Enterprise, L’Occitane, Magento, Mothercare, Oracle, Permira, Telstra and Westfield. As a writer, speaker and Retail Futurist, Howard’s talks are lively, jargon-free, visual journeys that predict the fast changing world of retail and what it means for our cities, high streets and, most importantly, our communities. His latest book Brooklynization, which examines the retail revolution that’s regenerating the poorer parts of town, has been published in November 2017.  

    Cate Trotter, Head of Trends, INSIDER TRENDS

    Cate Trotter is the Founder and Head of Trends at Insider Trends, a leading London-based trendspotting consultancy. Insider Trends helps brands such as Chanel, Marks & Spencer, Metro Group, Lego and EE innovate and create world-leading retail ecosystems. Its retail safaris give clients first-hand experience of the latest trends in action, and introduces them to the innovators who can solve their problems using the latest thinking and technology. Cate’s experience of setting up two successful businesses in her twenties has led to her being named a Future 100 and Startup 100 entrepreneur. Her entrepreneurial background also means she is able to talk from experience in her presentations, rather than an ivory tower.  

    Daniel Bobroff, Founder CODED FUTURES, Co-founder and Former Investment Director, ASOS VENTURES

    The Founder and former Investment Director of ASOS Ventures, Daniel Bobroff has been an innovator, entrepreneur and investor for over two decades, he now runs Coded Futures, disruptive tech for the fashion and retail world. He has pioneered advertising in video games, developed best-selling games, and become a leader in the world of FashionTech.   

    Ken Hughes, Consumer and Shopper Behaviouralist

    Ken Hughes is now acknowledged as being one of the world’s leading authorities on consumer and shopper behaviour, internationally renowned for helping his largely blue-chip client base better understand the needs of the future consumer. With over 15 years’ experience as CEO of a consumer insight agency, he blends his understanding of consumer psychology, shopper immersion, digital anthropology and retail futurology to explore the needs of the new consumer and predict the changes to come.
