  • RBTE is combining with Retail Design Expo (RDE) and Retail Digital Signage Expo (RDSE) to create RetailEXPO.

    Below are answers to some of the questions you may have about the transformation, and exhibiting at RetailEXPO.

  • So what are you actually doing?

    We are bringing the three existing shows, RBTE, RDE & RDSE under one new show, Retail Expo. The Tech, Design and Digital Signage zones will still remain at the show, but now it will be one show.

    Why are you doing this?

    Retail is changing rapidly and retailers are changing with it. We have worked with over 150 retailers to understand what they want from a Retail Event and RetailEXPO is the result. Today’s retailers work in a coordinated way and that is what RetailEXPO delivers.

    Is the show moving?

    No, the show remains at London’s Olympia on 1+2 May, 2019

    What about your conference programme?

    As with the show, we will have one coordinated programme with one main stage. We have undertaken major research with retailers to understand what they need and this year’s conference will reflect that.

    A name change is all very well, but how are you going to attract more retailers to the show?

    The name change is reflective of the work we’ve done in the industry to understand what retailers want from a show. The name and content of the show now reflects that more and more retailers are interested in Tech and Design as a whole, rather than isolated siloes. We will be marketing this message to a much larger pool of retailers than before, when we only marketed to those specifically interested in Tech and Design, and we are confident this will attract many more key visitors than before.

    Are you merging all the zones into one?

    No - Tech, Design and Digital Signage are all very distinct elements of the shows and will remain as such.

    I have already booked with RBTE / RDE / RDSE, do I need to do anything to ensure my contract stands

    No - your contract is with Reed Exhibitions so will stay as such. With the internal change to our systems we will be in touch with booked exhibitors to change your invoice number to ensure both our records are compatible.

    Will my position on the floorplan be affected?

    No - you have the same stand position that you booked in the correlating Tech, Design or Digital Signage Zone.
